The Templar Rule required poverty of its brothers, but the Order's public identity ran the other way: warrior monks armoured for battle, sworn to defend Jerusalem and the pilgrim routes to it. This ring keeps that image at its centre.
The face carries a knight in high relief, full battle armour, broadsword raised, a red enamel cross set into his shield against a textured stone ground. The word "Knights" runs alongside in Gothic script, and the band is cast in 316L stainless steel with an antique silver tone finish.
The ring
The relief work is deep enough to read at a glance: the knight's stance, the folds of the shield, the individual links suggested in the chainmail. The red enamel cross is the only colour on the piece, set to stay sharp against the antiqued steel rather than fade into it.
316L stainless steel resists tarnish and will not turn the skin, so the finish holds through daily wear without special care.
For anyone with an interest in the Crusades, medieval military orders, or the Templars specifically, this ring reads as a considered piece rather than a costume prop.
